BUDDY PROTOCOL / OPERATING PROCEDURE

Operator guide

Select an instrument and apply it inside the chamber. Drag a body part and release to throw. Mechanical handling, test spheres, and positive reinforcement produce different responses.

Research allocation

Interactions earn research credits. New strains and previously undiscovered combinations earn bonuses. Buying equipment unlocks it permanently; nanophage purchases give unlimited doses.

Cumulative exposure

Buy a strain, then choose “dose.” Reptilian scales resist damage. Avian wings change movement. Canine instincts respond to play. Add material and behavioral strains to discover stranger interactions.

Specimen reconstruction

“Cure & repair” returns the selected buddy to normal. “Replace specimen” clears the chamber and starts a new subject. Both keep your credits, purchases, and notebook.

Record transfer

Progress saves in this browser. Settings lets you export a research file or import it on another device. Capture saves a picture. Browser storage may be cleared, so export a backup to keep your progress.

KEYBOARD & TOUCH CONTROLS

1 Grab · 2 Poke · 3 Pet · 4 Ball · Space pause.
Focus the chamber and use arrows to aim. Enter uses your tool; with Grab, Enter picks up or releases a limb. Shift + arrows moves faster.
On a phone, drag directly in the chamber. Nanophages and supplies appear below it.

Fictional simulation. Nanophage strains and hybrid reactions are authored game systems. Injury effects include red blood, wounds, and chamber splatter. Choose Cartoon slapstick to hide blood, or Graphic for heavier effects. The visual intensity setting does not change access to tools.

CHAMBER PREFERENCES

Chamber settings

Mutations and physics stay the same. This changes blood, splatter, and wounds. Cartoon hides blood; Graphic increases it. Use “clean” above the chamber to remove splatter.

Audio output

Sound starts with your first click. Impacts follow their force and position; mutations change your buddy’s voice. Use the sound button above the chamber to mute.

Research archive

Local autosave keeps your credits, unlocks, discoveries, and specimens. Export a file to move them between browsers.

SPECIMEN REPLACEMENT

Replace specimen

Remove all current specimens, active mutations, and chamber residue. Issue one unmodified specimen. Research credits, equipment, strain licenses, and recorded observations are retained.
